Bronte Archers

252 Awards Scheme.

 

To encourage all members to develop and improve their archery, we have introduced a 252 Award Scheme designed to help you shoot at various distances and recognise your achievements.

 

The Rules:

 

• Rounds must be shot at any recognised shooting range

• Six sighter arrows followed immediately by three dozen scoring arrows,

     (If sighters aren’t to be shot this must be declared before shooting starts).

• 5-zone scoring (Gold = 9, Red = 7, Blue = 5, Black = 3, White = 1) on a 122cm target face.

• The three dozen arrows may be shot alone or as the first three dozen of a longer Imperial round.

• Badges are to be claimed in sequence. Cost £2.50 each.

• Scores need to be achieved twice on different days to qualify for the award.

 

To make an award claim, please submit 2 fully completed, signed and witnessed 252 score sheets to the club’s Records Officer.

Portsmouth Award Scheme

 

To mark an archer’s performance by achieving certain scores when shooting a Portsmouth round.

 

The Portsmouth round is shot indoors on a 60cm target face at 20 yards.

 

After 2 rounds of 3 arrows end sighter’s, you shoot 5 dozen arrows, in ends of 3.

If you achieve the score shown below you can claim a badge (cost £2.50).

 

The Rules:

 

1. Rounds must be shot at any recognised shooting range.

2. AGB Rules of Shooting apply (other than the bit about jeans, colours and logo’s)

3. 10 zone scoring ie: Inner Gold=10, Outer Gold=9, Inner Red=8, Outer Red=7 etc.

4. Badges need not be claimed in sequence.

5. Score only needs to be shot once to qualify for the award.

6. To make an award claim, a fully completed, signed and witnessed Portsmouth score sheet needs to be

    submitted to the club’s Records Officer.
